How to reach me in Nicaragua:

Nicaragua has a well-developed cell phone network and Internet quality that, at least in the major cities, must be considered exemplary. Fiber optic and cable connections are the norm in Nicaragua. You can send me an e-mail or fill in the form below. I can also be reached on WhatsApp. You can use the button below.
If you want to send me something by post, please use the German address in Berlin. Theoretically, you can also use the address in Nicaragua. But you have to count on a delivery time of about 6 weeks. Please only make phone calls in exceptional cases, because every call interrupts my class. But you probably understand that.
Passing by here is also fine, of course. Please register in advance so that you don't end up in front of a closed door. Rivas is a small town in Nicaragua with a total of 56,000 inhabitants. Rivas is also the southernmost department of the country and, as such, it borders directly with the neighboring country Costa Rica. The transport connections are very good. The shortest route is via San José, the capital of Costa Rica. From there, the TicaBus or NicaBus goes directly to Rivas. The stop is about 600 m from me. Border crossing at Peñas Blancas is often associated with delays. More details about Nicaragua are available on the page vacation courses.
Please take the time difference into account when contacting me. From the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October, the time difference is 8 hours; the rest of the year, it's 7 hours. Here's an example to clarify the situation. If it's 2 p.m. for you, the clock says 6 a.m. for me. You can reach me more easily in the afternoon and late at night.

What you can expect from my courses. My offer in keywords:

  • Piano lessons: Piano lessons are open to everyone aged 5 and over. Children and young people must be accompanied by an adult for the first few lessons. In principle, the computer is very easy to use in lessons and can be used independently without much prior knowledge. The ease of use also means that even older people can participate. The courses are aimed at beginners, those returning to the game and experienced players. You can find the content on this page. In addition to the traditional courses, there were always interesting and stimulating exceptions. For example, one student wanted to know how to work with professional music notation software (in this case, Sibelius). After a short period of familiarization, her interest went so far that she developed high-quality arrangements and her own compositions with me. In my classes, anything is possible.
  • Preparation for shows and auditions: In the past, and still today, there have been and still are students who have to prepare auditions as part of their courses. The music department at Meersburg's DHG (Droste-Hülshoff-Gymnasium) is a case in point. The aim is to achieve the best possible result by skilfully choosing the appropriate literature (according to requirements) and preparing as well as possible. The whole effort must also be fun... And I think it certainly is.
  • Preparation for entrance exams to music schools and academies: On a total of 5 occasions, I succeeded in intensively preparing young people, usually straight from high school, for the various entrance exam requirements. The entrance exams for Freiburg, Munich, Trossingen, Wiesbaden and Lugano were prepared in consultation with the respective individuals and were ultimately passed with flying colors. Since the requirements, especially in the field of hearing training, are very high, this area in particular requires a great deal of experience. That's why it's all the more gratifying to have succeeded.
